Job summary

Vitality Living Frederica is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to provide resident care by administering or assisting with medications per provider orders and state regulations. You will maintain accurate records, observe responses, and follow infection control policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current Medication Technician certification, CPR/First Aid certification, and at least 6 months of similar experience with strong English communication skills in writing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Medication Technician certification from a state-approved program.
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining the physical, social, and psychological environment that supports residents’ welfare.
• Administers or assists with self-administration of medications as prescribed by the provider.
• Maintains residents’ records daily and documents medication distribution and observations.
• Observes resident responses to treatments and reports changes to the supervisor.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the medicine supply room and conducts medication cart audits.
