Job summary

Cariad at North Brook is seeking a Medication Technician to support residents in our Heartful Care community in McKinney, TX. You will supervise self-administration of medication, assist with ADLs, meals, light housekeeping, and laundry, and interact with residents with empathy and respect.

You will observe health changes, report to your supervisor, help in dining, leisure activities, and maintain a safe, clean environment. A Med-Tech certification and HIPAA awareness are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
• Assists with ADLs, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry.
• Interacts with residents with empathy, kindness, and respect.
• Observes and reports health and emotional changes to supervisor.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and supports activities per calendar.
• Ensures proper sign-out when residents leave the community.
