Job summary

The Ivy Thornton is a premier senior living community operated by Oakmont Management Group under the Ivy Living brand. The Medication Technician will supervise and assist in medication administration, provide personal care, and engage residents in activities while supporting team members across departments.

Responsibilities include coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, maintaining confidential records, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of medication assistance experience in a RCFE.
• State regulations may require training/certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs.
• Desire to work with the elderly and provide care.
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, and families.
• Must pass a criminal background check and health screening per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
