Job summary

Liberty Commons of Johnston County is seeking a Medication Technician (CNA) to join Liberty Health Benson, NC. You will administer medications as directed, perform vital signs, and maintain precise documentation to support resident care and safety.

The role requires completion of a state-approved training program with competency evaluation, registration on the NAI registry, and the ability to lift 50 lbs regularly. A dedicated team and a drug-free workplace are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Registered on the NAI registry with no allegations of abuse or neglect.
• Successful completion of the state approved training program including competency evaluation and facility orientation program.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis or at least 10 times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication as directed per policies, excluding injections and IV meds.
• Performs vital signs and basic procedures as delegated by policy.
• Maintains accurate documentation per facility policy.
• Counts controlled substances and follows sign-in/sign-off procedures.
• Communicates with residents, families, and visitors appropriately.
