Job summary

HMG Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Medication Aide PRN at Mission Nursing & Rehabilitation in Mission, TX. The role supports the healthcare team by safely administering prescribed medications and monitoring residents for adverse reactions.

The position requires a state-approved Medication Aide training program graduation, High school diploma, and current certification. Prior long-term care experience is a plus. Bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program.
• Current certification or licensure as a Medication Assistant as required by the state.
• Basic knowledge of medication administration principles and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed following policies and procedures.
• Observe and document residents’ responses to medications and report adverse effects.
• Maintain accurate medication records and logs.
• Assist in preparation of medication carts and supplies for efficient delivery.
• Communicate with residents to explain schedules while respecting dignity and privacy.
