HMG Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for full-time, on-site work at Park Manor South Belt in Houston, TX. The role involves safely administering prescribed medications to residents, coordinating with nurses, and maintaining accurate medication records in a regulated setting.

The position requires a state-approved Medication Aide training program completion and current certification. English and Spanish language skills are preferred to support diverse residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program
• Current certification or licensure as a Medication Assistant as required by the state of Kansas
• Basic knowledge of medication administration principles and safety protocols
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers, following the facility’s medication administration policies and procedures.
• Observe and document residents’ responses to medications, reporting any adverse reactions or concerns to nursing staff immediately.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records, including medication logs and resident charts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of medication carts and supplies to ensure efficient medication delivery throughout the day.
• Communicate effectively with residents to explain medication schedules and provide reassurance, while respecting their dignity and privacy.
