Job summary

Provision Living, LLC in Missouri is seeking a compassionate L1MA to provide direct care and administer prescribed medications to residents. You will work under the supervision of a nurse, maintain accurate medication records, and communicate with residents, families, and the care team.

Applicants should hold a current Level 1 Medication Aide certification, have 2–4 years of experience, and prefer BLS and insulin certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have current state Level 1 Medication Aide certification.
• 2–4 years’ experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Experience in a senior care community is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents under supervision of the nurse on duty and maintain related medical records.
• Verify identity, drug name, dosage and time of administration on medical records.
• Take vital signs and observe patient responses to medications; report changes to the nurse or physician.
• Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting examinations or treatments.
• Communicate with residents, families, physicians, pharmacists and other care providers.
• Keep medication secure and restock inventory; follow rights of medication administration.
• Participate in shift handoffs to communicate resident status and needs.
• Other duties as assigned by nursing leadership.
