Job summary

CountryHouse Cedar Rapids, an Agemark Senior Living community, is looking for a compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team in a part-time capacity. You will safely administer medications, document accurately, and monitor residents for changes while showing empathy and kindness in daily care.

Qualifications

• Active 40-hour Medication Aide certification per Iowa requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Compassion, patience, and desire to serve older adults.
• Basic computer skills for medication tracking.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications according to physician orders and residents’ care plans.
• Accurately document medication administration and maintain required records.
• Observe residents for changes in condition, side effects, or concerns and promptly report them to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living while providing compassionate, respectful care.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
• Help create a positive, supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for.
