Job summary

Astral at Auburn in Auburn, IN is seeking a caregiver to oversee medication administration and provide personal care to residents on the 2nd/3rd shift. The role includes supervising self-administration when needed and following nurse orders, with a noted shift differential for evenings.

Compensation starts around the listed hourly rate. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of caregiving experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and possibly a Medication Aide Certification depending on state

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years caregiving or related clinical experience.
• Medication Aide Certification may be required depending on state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medication according to policies and procedures.
• Supervise self-administration of medication when applicable.
• Complete and perform all treatments according to nurse orders.
• Provide personal care assistance/services as required.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and coworkers.
• Attend a minimum of 12 annual hours of in-service education.
• Promote and respect the dignity and well-being of each resident and their family.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and updates.
