Job summary

Lifecare Medical Services Inc. provides transportation services for patients traveling to doctor’s appointments, physical therapy, or other medical treatments. Ambulette operators transport patients safely and efficiently, maintain vehicles, and complete required documentation to ensure compliant service.

Ideal candidates hold a current and valid state driver’s license and can perform basic life support in emergencies as well as participate in mandatory staff meetings and safety checks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide safe and efficient transport of patients.
• Current and valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to complete transportation logs and forms as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient transport of patients in the ambulette as scheduled by dispatch.
• Operate/drive ambulette in accordance with driving standards and procedures; ensure safety and patient security.
• Record transportation logs and obtain patient documentation as required.
• Perform ambulette inventory and equipment testing; report maintenance needs.
• Comply with FCC regulations when using electronic communications equipment.
• Order supplies and equipment as needed from purchasing.
• Conduct general safety checks (fluids, tires, horn, fuel).
• Maintain ambulette (wash, wax, interior cleaning, refuel, tire inflation, oil checks).
• Provide basic life support—first aid or CPR in emergencies.
