Job summary

Assist clients entering and exiting the vehicle, report drops, incidents, and equipment issues, operate wheelchair lifts when needed, and adhere to infection control and safety policies to ensure comfort

• Must be able to safely transport residents and operate required equipment.
• Ability to assist clients getting in and out of vehicle.
• Comply with infection control and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to work in a timely manner.
• Take work orders from supervisor for client trips.
• Drive clients to destinations on time, including those with oxygen tanks or special equipment.
• Assist clients as they enter and exit the vehicle.
• Report back to supervisor after drop-offs.
• Report incidents or accidents promptly to supervisor.
• Operate wheelchair lifts as needed.
• Follow company policies and protocol.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity and a caring environment.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment issues to supervisor.
