Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ, seeks a Medical Assistant for ambulatory settings. You will greet patients using AIDET, provide service, and support patients while managing delays and scheduling.

You will document vitals, history, and encounters in the EMR, and assist with vaccines and specimen collection as needed. The position requires at least one year of recent medical facility experience, EKG and venipuncture skills, and Epic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant and/or externship in a medical office.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injection experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests using AIDET and provides excellent service experience.
• Performs rooming, vitals, medical history documentation in the EMR and handles administrative duties.
• Assists with scheduling, patient outreach, and follow-ups across ambulatory settings.
• May administer vaccines and collect specimens per established protocols.
