Job summary

VIPcare in Daphne, AL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will prepare patients, document histories, measure vital signs, assist during visits, and perform clinical tasks under supervision.

This role includes front office duties and coordination of care within a value-based care model. Ideal candidates have MA training, CPR/BLS, familiarity with EMR, and a passion for helping seniors achieve better health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA).
• 1+ year of MA experience in a physician practice preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• IV therapy and phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology.
• Experience using EMR systems and basic office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations.
• Take vital signs and document in EMR.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Handle front office tasks: scheduling, referrals, and reminders.
• Perform CLIA-waived testing and specimen collection.
