Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care across teams in an outpatient setting.

The role includes welcome and preparation of patients, documentation of histories and vitals, and assisting with exams, testing, and medications.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year clinical experience preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Must have MA program/externship/internship, EMT, Paramedic, or CMA/NCMA/RELEVANT certification.
• Current MA re-certification CEUs if credentialed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
