Job summary

ChenMed is seeking a Medical Assistant to support primary care teams in delivering exceptional, compassionate care to seniors. The role blends administrative and clinical duties under physician supervision to keep centers running smoothly.

As a cross-trained member of a physician-led care team, you will assist with exams, patient flow, medications, and health coaching, while maintaining compliant documentation and high standards of patient service.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with empathy toward patients and families.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with strong time management.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and staff across centers.

Responsibilities

• Measures and records patient vital signs; records patient interview and medical history.
• Catalogs and communicates patient needs to the PCP, Clinician, and other clinical staff.
• Prepares patients for examinations and assists with routine and minor procedures.
• Observes patients and reports changes to the PCP or clinicians.
• Performs non-critical medical tasks; collects lab specimens and performs basic waived tests.
• Prepares and administers medications under physician supervision; changes dressings and applies bandages.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, and ISO safety standards; documents work accurately.
• Handles patient phone messages and relays information to physicians.
• Calls in prescriptions to pharmacies with physician approval using ChenMed Rx system.
• Provides health coaching and follow-ups with coached patients weekly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
