Job summary

Coastal Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team. You will room patients, take vital signs, and assist providers during visits in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation in the EMR, patient coordination, and adherence to HIPAA and infection control policies. Certification is a plus, and experience with EMR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced primary care environment.
• Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, and medical histories.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
• Update patient information and document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Administer injections and perform other clinical duties within the scope of training and authorization.
• Assist with patient care coordination, referrals, and follow-up as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked examination rooms.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines, infection control procedures, and office policies.
