Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous medical office or Primary Care experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
• Professional, dependable, and positive attitude.
• Must be comfortable working directly with patients and providing clinical support.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and medication information.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with exams, treatments, and in-office procedures.
• Perform injections, phlebotomy, and other clinical duties as trained and permitted.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Perform EKGs and other basic clinical testing as needed.
• Administer medications and injections according to provider orders and office protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with prescription requests, referrals, and patient follow-up.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, testing, and provider instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and company policies.
• Work closely with providers and other clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Provide excellent customer service and help create a positive patient experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
