Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will handle front- and back-office tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and coordinating tests and follow-up care.

Under supervision, you will ensure accurate documentation and patient safety while delivering compassionate care to patients of all ages. High school diploma or GED and BLS/MA certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED General or Other / Certificate Medical Assisting.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required or equivalent.
• CMA/NCMA/CCMA/RMA certifications accepted.
• Experience in physician practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Gather and record vital signs and other patient information for the visit.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist during treatments.
• Coordinate tests and follow-up care; document treatments in the medical record.
• Support front office as needed with check-in, check-out, and scheduling.
• Uphold patient safety and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
