Wellstar Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced physician practice. You will gather vital signs, prepare patients for exams, assist during treatments, and coordinate tests and follow‑up care while maintaining patient safety and satisfaction.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with a Medical Assisting certificate and current BLS; CMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA credentials are preferred. Prior practice experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and Medical Assisting certificate required at hire.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA or CMA credentials with BLS card required at hire.
• Experience in a physician practice setting preferred.
• Strong English reading/writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Provides patient‑centered care and supports physicians and clinicians.
• Gathers and records vital signs and patient information for visits.
• Prepares patients for exams and assists during treatments.
• Coordinates tests and follow‑up care; documents in medical records.
• Supports front office tasks such as scheduling and check‑in as needed.
