Job summary

Codman Square Health Center, Inc. seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support routine patient care under RN supervision. You will greet patients, document data, perform vital signs, assist during examinations, collect specimens, and help maintain a safe, efficient clinic environment.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant program, with 1–2 years’ experience preferred. CPR certification is required or obtainable within 180 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification or obtain CPR certification within the first 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interview patients and collect data, vital signs and screenings.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain clean treatment areas and instruments.
• Assist providers and perform Point of Care testing per protocol.
• Maintain a safe patient care environment and follow infection control policies.
• Provide orientation and training to new staff per nurse requests.
• Complete patient forms, manage supplies, and coordinate scheduling for follow-ups.
• Administer vaccines and explain vaccine information and follow-up care.
• Perform duties in other departments/locations as applicable.
