Job summary

The Medical Assistant at Saint Francis Healthcare System provides a range of patient care activities and assists providers and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard of care. They also restock supplies and uphold a safe working environment.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00a–4:30p, with full-time status and 80 hours per two-week pay period; High School Diploma is required, CCMA preferred, and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CCMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in taking vital signs.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to learn and perform diagnostic testing/procedures such as X-rays and non-waived testing.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of patient care activities and assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain high standards of care.
• Restocks supplies in the work area and maintains a safe working environment.
