Spring Branch Community Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in examinations, documentation, and patient education. The MA will prepare patients, assist with procedures, manage supplies, and ensure a safe, clean environment.

Ideal candidates have a CMA or MA certification, BLS, and bilingual English/Spanish skills, with previous FQHC or similar setting experience. Availability for varied shifts is required, and the role supports SBCHC’s mission to serve vulnerable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certificate; CMA preferred.
• Current BLS or equivalent.
• Experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers or similar is preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• OB experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Administer medications as ordered, following Standing Orders.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EHR.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during exams.
• Maintain rooms and supplies, ensure infection control and safety.
• Obtain consent forms and vaccination screening information.
• Adhere to patient confidentiality and SBCHC policies.
