Job summary

Lorain County Health & Dentistry seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers, manage patient flow, and ensure a positive patient experience during visits.

The role requires CMA/RMA certification or ability to earn within six months, BLS, a Medical Assistant program certificate, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel locally. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. You will perform vital signs, prepare exam rooms, administer medications, collect specimens, and educate patients.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a Medical Assistant program.
• CMA/RMA certification or ability to earn within six months.
• BLS Certification.
• CEU requirements to maintain license.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical history and elicit information on conditions.
• Measure vital signs and administer medications as directed.
• Assist with exams and procedures per PCMH/NCQA model.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock clinical supplies.
• Educate patients and caregivers on health maintenance.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
