Pediatrix Medical Group (Houston, TX) seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering patient-centered care. The role combines clinical and administrative duties, with emphasis on accuracy, compassion, and adherence to state regulations.

Strong teamwork and communication are essential. The ideal candidate will have an accredited Medical Assistant diploma, CPR/BLS certification preferred, and at least 1 year in an office-based setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant is preferred or required by state.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients, obtain medical history, medications, allergies, and chief complaints, and document in the medical record.
• Assist with patient flow to ensure timely visits.
• Support high-quality patient experience through excellent customer service and clear communication with patients and families.
• Assist physician/APP in exams and procedures under supervision.
• Perform clinical tasks such as specimen collection, injections/immunizations, and venipuncture as allowed by state.
