Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering specialized patient care. The role combines clinical and administrative duties, with emphasis on accurate documentation, patient preparation, and safe, compassionate service.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year in an office setting, a diploma from an accredited MA program, and CPR/BLS certification; bilingual Spanish/English is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA certification preferred or as required by State.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients, obtain medical history, medications, allergies and chief complaints and document in the patient record.
• Assist with patient flow to ensure timely visits.
• Support delivery of high-quality patient experience through customer service and communication.
• Prepare and assist with medical exams and office procedures under physician supervision.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture as allowed by state regulations.
• Communicate information and instructions to patients as directed by clinician.
• Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up appointments; communicate results to patients.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure supplies; manage sterilization as required.
• Handle referrals, appointment requests, triage messages, and maintain patient records.
