El Rio Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care and support clinical operations within assigned clinics, documenting information and entering data into the EHR, and assisting with provider orders and discharge instructions.

Candidates should have a Medical Assistant certificate, BLS, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably 1 year of ambulatory care experience; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.) required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Mansioni

• Completes all clinical and non-clinical duties for a Medical Assistant within defined time frames and performance standards.
• Completes patient intake steps: documents information, responses, and enters data into the EHR.
• Assists with procedures within MA scope and adheres to Nursing Policies and Procedures.
• Coordinates with patient and external records, labs, and radiology results.
• Delivers discharge instructions and ensures patient understanding.
• Maintains documentation in EHR and processes records within required time frames.
• Keeps work areas clean and compliant with safety and policy standards.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
