Job summary

Jefferson University Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient assessment, examinations, and treatment. You will manage patient flow, document vital signs and medical histories, and assist with EKGs and injections in the office.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma, medical office experience, familiarity with medical terminology, and be on track to complete Medical Assistant certification within six months of hire. HIPAA compliance is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• For NJ locations: graduate from accredited program with minimum 330 hours including IM/subcutaneous injection training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Take and document vital signs and medical history.
• Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures (EKG, venipuncture, injections).
• Maintain and order supplies for the area.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and security compliance.
