Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience daily.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, collecting histories and vital signs, assisting with exams and testing, and educating patients on care plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of accredited MA program or externship or internship.
• Current MA Re-Certification CEUs if credentialed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
