Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Novi and Southfield locations. Under supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you will perform administrative and clinical tasks to support patient care and ensure a seamless experience for every patient.

As a Medical Assistant, you will greet patients, record histories and vital signs, prep for exams, assist providers, and handle clinic administration to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Multiple pathways to MA qualification noted in the ad.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
