Job summary

Sacramento Ear, Nose & Throat (SacENT) seeks a friendly Medical Assistant to support providers and patients in a fast-paced clinic. You will greet patients, collect histories, and help with exams while maintaining a positive, professional image.

This role requires completing Medical Assistant coursework or equivalent experience, staying current with BCLS certification, and helping with scheduling, records, and coordination of patient care with the team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Completion of Medical Assistant coursework or 2 years medical office experience.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain medical histories, and explain procedures.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respiration).
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain exam room cleanliness.
• Schedule appointments, manage phone lines and faxes, and check in messages.
• Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR).
• Collaborate with back-office staff and shadow senior staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
