Job summary

Sacramento Ear, Nose & Throat is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant for our Stockton clinic to provide ENT specialized care and develop individualized treatment plans.

You will perform in-office procedures, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and manage pre/post-operative instructions while documenting encounters in Modernizing Medicine. Applicants should have CA PA licensure and NCCPA certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with NCCPA-accredited PA program certification.
• Active California Physician Assistant license.
• State and federal Controlled Substances Registration.
• At least 1 year of PA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide ENT specialized care to patients.
• Perform comprehensive physical exams and develop treatment plans.
• In-office minor procedures (nasal endoscopies, cerumen removal, epistaxis control).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Conduct pre-operative exams and provide pre/post-surgical instructions.
• Document patient encounters using Modernizing Medicine EMR.
• Prescribe medications following established guidelines.

Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $145,000.00 Annually

SacENT is looking for a full time Physician Assistant to join our practice for our Stockton clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ear, nose and throat specialized care to patients.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform minor procedures in office, including but not limited to, nasal endoscopies, cerumen impaction removal, epistaxis control and foreign body removal, endoscopic and stroboscopic evaluation, post operative care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
• Conduct pre-operative exams and provide pre/post-surgical instructions and education to patients and their families.
• Utilize electronic medical record system (Modernizing Medicine) to document patient encounters and manage patient information.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with established standards and guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree, together with a certificate from completing an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program
• Possession of a license to practice as physician assistant from the state of California
• Possession of state and federal Controlled Substance Registration

Minimum Experience required:

• 1+ year of working experience as a physician assistant
• Knowledge of medical procedures and guidelines concerning assessment, treatment, and recovery
• Experience with improvements in innovative medical technology

Skills required:

• Some clinical experience in ENT is preferred but not required
• Ability to provide expert clinical judgment and function independently
• Possession of exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable effective collaboration with physicians, staff, community health workers, patients and their families
• Ability to work with little or no supervision, and to take initiative in handling the responsibilities of the post
• Ability to understand complex medical information and clearly communicate it to patients and their families, medical staff, and external customers, in written and spoken format
• Possession of conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to effectively manage conflict in work environment
• Ability to keep all sensitive and confidential information to self and out of reach to unauthorized persons.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
