Job summary

Axis Spine & Pain in Macon, GA seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our interventional pain management team. The role involves direct patient care, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and documenting in our EMR system to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Two years of experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate. Certification in Medical Assisting and CPR/BLS are required, with EMR and C-arm fluoroscopy knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Current ACLS and/or CPR certification required.
• Experience in pain management or specialty care preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies before and during patient examinations.
• Greet and room patients, document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Assist physicians during examinations and clinical procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed within scope of practice.
• Document patient information in the EMR and maintain HIPAA/compliance standards.
• Support clinic operations and ensure smooth patient flow.
