Job summary

PartnerCare in Macon, GA is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant-Float to support clinicians, prepare exam rooms, document vital signs, assist with procedures, and help ensure a smooth patient experience in a fast-paced clinic. The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant program certificate, a high school diploma, and CPR/BLS certification.

New grads are welcome; pain management experience and EMR familiarity (eClinicalWorks) are a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
Current BLS/CPR certification required.
Experience in pain management or specialty care preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
Experience with EMR systems; eClinicalWorks experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient examinations.
Greet and room patients, document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
Assist physicians during examinations and clinical procedures.
Administer medications and treatments as directed within scope of practice.
Instruct patients and families on treatment procedures and post-visit care instructions.
Document patient information and observations in the EMR.
Maintain HIPAA and infection control compliance.
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-ups.
