Job summary

The Gavin J. Goorjian Community Health Center, part of The Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada, seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with rooming patients, vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and EHR updates in a patient-centered clinic.

Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited MA program and hold active MA certification. Experience in outpatient settings and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current, active, non-restricted Medical Assistant certification required.
• Outpatient clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures.
• Administer injections and medications within scope.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and referrals.
• Maintain clinic supplies and infection control.
• Communicate with care team to ensure coordinated care.
