Capital Medical Group, part of Independence Physician Management (IPM), a UHS subsidiary, is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a DC clinic. The role involves managing patient flow, documenting vitals in the EMR, and preparing exam rooms, with HIPAA and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited or approved Medical Assistant program required.

Responsabilités

• Manage patient flow, room patients, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medications, medical history, and other required information in the EMR.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, and clinical supplies.
• Support medication reconciliation and assist with medications or injections when appropriately authorized, supervised, and permitted.
• Provide provider-directed patient instructions and communicate concerns or abnormal findings to the appropriate clinical staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA, infection prevention, safety, organizational, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned within the Medical Assistant’s permitted scope of practice.
