Job summary

Summit Health Management in Warren, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant for internal/family medicine. The MA will support physicians, PAs or NPs, manage patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and document vital signs in the EHR.

Responsibilities include scheduling, stocking supplies, assisting with procedures, maintaining safety, and providing patient education. Travel to satellite offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• English communication in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination rooms and escorts patients to the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and timely visits.
• Records vitals and documents in EHR accurately.
• Schedules appointments per guidelines and updates meds/allergies.
• Stocking rooms and managing supplies; assists with procedures.
• Enter orders in PMS/EHR and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Adheres to safety guidelines and supports care transitions.
• Provide scribing services as needed.
