Job summary

Logan Health Hematology & Oncology in Kalispell, MT is seeking a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused specialty clinic on a PRN basis. You will greet patients, obtain histories, and support clinicians during exams, while helping with labs and EMR documentation.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth within a busy hematology/oncology setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through an accredited certifying organization.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through an accredited certifying organization.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before providing independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collect laboratory specimens, perform competency-validated clinical tasks, and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate patient care activities including referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, scheduling, and follow-up appointments.
• Support daily clinic operations by maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies while assisting with patient calls and portal communications.
