Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct nursing care in a physician office setting, under supervision of a physician. You will support medical providers and maintain a clean, safe environment following practice policies.

Required: High school diploma/GED with accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years relevant experience as an alternative. CPR certification is required; Medical Assistant preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of program.
• CPR Certification required.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant.
• Minimum: 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment of patient needs and health plan.
• Document all patient information in the medical record per charting policy.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians with treatments, exams and procedures.
• Arrange for specialized consultations and testing as ordered by physicians.
