Job summary

Duly Health and Care is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Schaumburg location. You will greet patients, assist with registration and scheduling, and help with vital signs and medical history collection.

You will support physicians during examinations and minor procedures, assist with injections, and handle prescription requests, charting, and basic lab work. A valid MA certification and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher health sciences education required.
• Active medical assistant certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA is required.
• CPR certification required or willingness to become certified upon hire.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2+ years in a medical office assisting with patient care.
• Prior experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests and provider orders; update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service in line with Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Education
