Job summary

Ortholonestar is seeking an experienced healthcare receptionist to be the first point of contact, greeting patients, collecting basic information, and guiding them to the exam area. You will help prepare the EHR and patient summary for the physician, and relay pertinent details to the care team.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, strong customer service, and adherence to HIPAA in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or MA program certificate required.
• 3–6 months related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to examination room and prepare EHR/summary for physician.
• Interview patient to obtain brief history and reason for visit.
• Maintain patient flow and assist with transfers, dressing, and specimen collection.
• Ensure examination rooms are clean and stocked with supplies and assist with pre-authorization as needed.
• Document patient care in the EHR and ensure services are coded correctly in the EHR and superbill.
