Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) seeks a Medical Assistant for a full-time role at Marietta Eye Surgery of Johns Creek. You will greet patients, document medical and ophthalmic histories, and support preoperative and postoperative care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

The position emphasizes infection control, accurate charting, and teamwork. Prior MA experience and a certificate are preferred; English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• One year of experience working with electronic medical/health records.
• One year experience working in healthcare as a Medical Assistant or in a physician practice or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional, courteous manner and document medical and ophthalmic history.
• Check preoperative and PACU areas, materials and equipment for patient care.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and uphold infection control policies.
• Obtain vital signs for preoperative and postoperative phases and participate in staff education.
• Assist in turnover and patient care responsibilities in a timely, efficient manner.
• Transport patients for discharge and assist with entering treatment information.
