Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed providers in clinic and surgical settings. You will greet and prepare patients, collect vitals, document medical histories, and assist with procedures under physician direction.

Maintain sterile fields, manage supplies, and convey clear medical information to patients. Responsibilities include administering medications under supervision, preparing rooms, and coordinating tests and admissions while upholding HIPAA

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and medications.
• Detail oriented with professional attitude and reliability.
• Strong interpersonal skills to support customer service and teamwork.
• Effective English communication, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with basic computer operations (MS Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with state/federal regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
• Understanding of medical laboratory procedures and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed providers in clinic and surgical settings.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms, maintain sterile field.
• Record medical history, medications and test results in records.
• Administer medications under physician direction.
• Explain procedures, care instructions, and wound care to patients.
• Inscribe and dispose of waste per safety protocol; manage sterile supplies.
• Assist with injections, sutures, and drug refills per policy.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests/admissions.
• Perform routine labs and document procedures timely.
