Job summary

Care New England is hiring a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and office functions in our Providence-based department. You will engage in direct patient contact, assist with procedures, manage office tasks, and help maintain supplies and equipment.

CPR-certified candidates with strong typing and medical terminology skills are preferred. The role requires teamwork across disciplines, confidentiality, and flexibility for varied hours, including possible evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and strong typing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical care and assessment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Assists with direct patient care, including terminally ill patients.
• Provides clinical support to patients and staff.
• Offers office support: typing, scheduling, and forms processing.
• Monitors and maintains clinical equipment and supplies.
• Protects patient confidentiality and rights.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
