Job summary

Intellis Health LLC, dba City Care Medical, is establishing a new office in Franklin Square, NY, and seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to join the team full time. The MA will support physicians in patient care, take vital signs, document history, assist with minor procedures, and educate patients on treatment plans and medications.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least one year in a family medicine setting, and MA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a primary care office as Medical Assistant.
• MA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, obtain medical history and chief complaint.
• Assist physician with biopsies and select surgery procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and medications; assist with nursing procedures as needed.
• Complete pathology and lab requisition documents.
