Valley Health Physician Alliance in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for a full-time role with full benefits. You will assist physicians with exams, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR under IPM guidelines.

You may also cover front desk duties as needed. The position requires a completed MA program, BLS/CPR certification, and familiarity with medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• MA Certificate of Completion and/or one year experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process per clinic protocol.
• General medical office procedures.
• End of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation per clinic protocol.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Perform venipuncture and related procedures as directed.
• Prepare treatment rooms and cover front desk as needed.
• Document in the Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Distribute referrals and pre-authorize prescriptions and tests.
• Triage patients and prep for physician exam.
