Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. (CHCCC) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Medical Department under the Health Center Manager and Clinic Services Supervisor. The MA will perform clinical duties, operate equipment, and assist with patient care while supporting clerical tasks to sustain efficient workflows.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and CMA/RMA certification; one year of MA experience preferred. Arabic/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA or RMA certification through a CA board-approved organization. If MA does not have CMA/RMA at hire, must pass within 1 year.
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical assisting experience preferred; EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, injections experience preferred.
• Bilingual ability in English and another language desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Actively participates in Patient Care Team duties and activities.
• Provides quality customer service using AIDET Standards.
• Administers medications per provider orders; if unfamiliar, consults nursing drug handbook and Provider/RN on site.
• Performs preliminary intake of vitals and assesses need for immunizations and preventive exams.
• Maintains clean and safe patient areas and ensures proper documentation in EMR.
• May act as an interpreter between patient and provider when necessary.
