Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group in Los Gatos, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in delivering patient-centered care. The role combines clinical and administrative duties and requires accurate data collection and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Certification as Medical Assistant preferred or as required by State.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms and document medical history, meds, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Assist with patient flow to ensure timely visits and maintain a safe care environment.
• Prepare and assist with exams and office procedures under physician supervision.
• Collect and prepare lab specimens, administer injections/immunizations, and perform venipuncture as allowed by state regulations.
• Communicate instructions to patients and coordinate tests, referrals, and follow-ups.
