Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification must be completed within 90 days of employment.
• Intermediate computer skills, including data entry and typing.
• Knowledge of instrumentation used in lab point of care testing within 90 days.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information per HIPAA and Variety Care policy.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients.
• Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete the clinical intake requirements and document accurately in the EMR.
• Administer immunizations under provider direction with VIS updates.
• Collect patient specimens following established protocols.
• Follow clinical policies to support patient safety and clinic flow.
• Utilize EMR to complete assigned tasks accurately and timely.
• Communicate with patients, providers and staff using written, verbal and non-verbal methods.
• Be open to coaching, feedback and continuous skill development.
• May float within the clinic to maintain business continuity.
• Serve as liaison for psychiatry clinics and assist in scheduling concerns.
• Support accreditation efforts and the Quintuple Aim of healthcare reform.
