Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Primary clinic in Sun City West, AZ. You will support clinicians in a busy clinic, perform vitals, assist with exams, and manage patient communications in a patient‑centered environment.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, EKGs, injections, and coordinating tests and referrals while adhering to safety and infection control standards. This role suits both new entrants and experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA) with current membership proof.
• BLS certification required and capable of using medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for exams by taking vitals and recording symptoms and chief complaints.
• Assists clinicians with exams and minor in‑office procedures, including EKGs.
• Coordinates care with referrals, authorizations, and scheduling for tests and treatments.
• Provides clerical support and ensures accurate billing information for encounters.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and proper infection control practices per OSHA guidelines.
• Orders supplies and manages medications, recalls, and inventory as directed.
• Communicates test results to patients and supports clinician needs as a resource.
