Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program as specified by the Medical Board of California.
• Medical Terminology Certificate or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs and other pertinent information.
• Records information in the patient’s medical record and prepares the examination room.
• Assists clinician with patient care and performs routine treatments.
• Inventories, orders and replenishes medical supplies.
• Performs routine laboratory tests as required by department.
• Schedules appointments and handles administrative forms.
• Administers medications, including injections, when required.
• Maintains instrument cleanliness and sterility.
• Provides customer service and coordinates with the department.
